Health and Wellness
Joanna Lin CC’26 is a junior studying human evolutionary biology, and is recognized for her contributions to health and wellness on campus. Committed to health equity, Lin has expanded accessibility to menstrual products by leading initiatives to map their availability across Columbia’s campus, as well as advocating for broader implementation in New York City. Alongside this work, she conducts biomechanics research in Columbia’s Morphogenesis and Developmental Biomechanics Lab, investigating the mechanics of gut looping. Passionate about science communication and education, Lin serves as co-Editor-in-Chief of the Columbia Junior Science Journal, mentoring high school students through the scientific publication process, and as president of Sci-Inspire, a club that provides STEM tutoring to underserved NYC public schools.
Endless gratitude to my friends, professors, and mentors for making Columbia feel like home, and to my family for their unwavering support.
