Addeson Lehv CC’25, an native New Yorker, is a senior graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in political science-statistics and Hispanic studies as a junior inductee of Phi Beta Kappa. Lehv is being acknowledged for his service as the vice chair of Manhattan Community Board 8 — the local government body that represents more than 230,000 residents of the Upper East Side and Roosevelt Island neighborhoods. He is currently the youngest vice chair in New York City and is also the co-chair of both the education and environment committees. In these roles, Lehv has been recognized as a committed advocate for New York City and as an effective, innovative leader. At Columbia, Addeson has worked as a research assistant for political science professor Eunji Kim, a course assistant for multiple statistics classes, and as a resident adviser in Schapiro Hall. Lehv will be pursuing a J.D. at Columbia Law School in the fall, where he hopes to leverage data analysis to understand the intersection between public policy and law.
I’m honored and deeply grateful to be the recipient of these awards. I’d like to thank my friends, mentors and professors who have guided me throughout my time at Columbia and have made my undergraduate experience so meaningful. Most of all, I want to express my profound gratitude to my family — whose unwavering love, support and sacrifice made all of this possible.
