Emerging Leader
Abigail Hart CC’26 is a third-year undergraduate studying biochemistry. Hailing from Boca Raton, Florida, and studying violin performance at an arts high school, Hart came to Columbia looking to participate in musical extracurricular activities and quickly invested herself in the theatre community. Playing in pits and being part of theatre on campus has been challenging, rewarding and even raw at times. Hart has been able to get experience playing the viola, doing sound design, A2, stage management and producing with clubs like CMTS, XMAS!, NOMADS, CUP and KCST. She is currently co-producing the Varsity Show with Olivia Kuan-Romano BC’26. Hart hopes to continue to welcome underclassmen to the theatre community, and play the violin and viola for productions on campus.
Thank you to the upperclassmen members of the Barnumbia theatre community for bringing such an important piece of campus life back after COVID, and for being so welcoming to underclassmen new to theater. I am so grateful to everyone who gave me the opportunity to learn and to be a part of this community when I didn’t have any prior experience.
