Senior Marshal
At 10 years old, Chloe Harrah SEAS’25 told her family she'd live in New York City one day. That dream became a reality when she left her small Southern California beach town for Columbia's fast pace and intensity. The shock of the big city pushed her to grow in challenging but meaningful ways; she was able to find her footing by building community. Harrah is recognized for her leadership as an executive member of the Engineering Student Council and for three years of enthusiastic involvement with the Columbia Outdoor Orientation Program . Beyond these roles and other participation across campus, Harrah has aimed to be a steady source of encouragement, support and joy — investing deeply in the relationships and spirit that define the Columbia experience. She is graduating with a degree in industrial engineering and operations research and a minor in computer science.
I would like to thank my family and friends, whose love, sacrifice and unwavering support carried me through the highs and lows of my time at Columbia. I am also grateful for my professors and the Columbia staff who helped me deeply explore my passions and gain confidence in my path. I will miss the many welcoming faces of Columbia — from housing and dining to my IEOR staff family — but I am looking forward to staying connected.
