Brooke Cullen CC’25 is graduating with majors in biology and dance and is being recognized for her dedication to fostering a culture of care and well-being within the Columbia community. As an EMT with Columbia University Emergency Medical Services (CUEMS), she has volunteered extensive hours, responding to medical emergencies and providing life-saving interventions. In her leadership roles as a crew chief and training officer, she has been dedicated to mentoring other EMTs and ensuring that the culture of care and well-being continues beyond her time at the College. Beyond CUEMS, Cullen has demonstrated a commitment to student wellness as a resident adviser, supporting peers in maintaining a healthy campus life. Her leadership as chair of Columbia Orchesis, Columbia’s largest dance club, has also allowed her to promote creative expression and community engagement through dance. Cullen is honored to have been selected to receive Columbia’s Health & Wellness award.
I am deeply grateful to my teachers, mentors, and peers who have shaped my journey over the past four years at Columbia. I would not be the student, leader, medical provider or person I am today without their guidance and the unwavering support of my friends and family.
