Robert Harron Award
Originally from Mexico City and now Miami, Fla., Samuel A. Cano Cabrera CC’26 is studying economics-political science with a minor in theater. He has served on the Columbia College Student Council for three years, including two years as Class of 2026 president and currently as the vice president for finance. Next year, he will serve as the Columbia College student body president. Cano Cabrera is also a residential adviser in Carman Hall, supporting first-year students as they navigate their time at Columbia.
Cano Cabrera is honored to receive the Robert Harron Award in recognition of his commitment to uplifting the Columbia community through compassion, generosity and inclusive leadership. He remains deeply passionate about building spaces where students feel celebrated, supported and empowered to thrive!
