Zaid Rami Sahawneh is being recognized for his extensive leadership, involvement, and contributions to the Columbia community. Zaid is double-majoring in Political Science and Middle Eastern Studies and maintains his position as a Named Scholar and on the Dean’s List. His leadership at Columbia is admirable; he is the Director of Training for the New York Small Claims Advisory Service, Treasurer for the Political Science Students Association, Co-Chair of Major Events for the University Life Events Council, International Humanitarian Law Chair for the Columbia Red Cross, Writer for the Columbia Undergraduate Law Review, and a Research Assistant in the Political Science Department. Outside of Columbia, Zaid has excelled as a top performer in legal, congressional, research, and management internships. Zaid is passionate about pursuing a career in law after graduation.
