Trinity Sazo views promoting well-being in the community as one of her passions. She has been known to promote health and well-being among her friends and family, leading conversations about self care, mental health, and stress management, especially as an undergrad. As a former Leader and Coordinator of the Jumpstarting Aspiring Developers and Entrepreneurs program on campus, she has served to cultivate a caring community of students on campus for years now, as a way to demonstrate how careers and community are closely tied together, rather than opposing forces. Columbia's well-being initiatives continuously guide Trinity; she firmly believes that well-being is multifaceted and includes intellectual and personal growth. She has taken the step to share her wellness knowledge online with a broader community. She stands as a stepping stone to introduce those around her to cultivate a healthy lifestyle despite the strenuous life of being a student.
It’s a tremendous honor to be nominated and recognized by my peers to not only receive the Health and Wellness Excellence Award as well as being named a Senior Marshal. Firstly, thank you to my family for always providing me with the opportunities and support to achieve my dreams. Thank you to everyone for believing in me always, and I’m grateful to have found a chosen family on and off campus.
