Innovation and Enhancement
Throughout her undergraduate studies, Emily had the joy of cultivating her passion for biomedicine and making science accessible to the public. Over the past four years, she has been actively involved in the Columbia Science Review and most recently served as Co-Editor-in-Chief. Together, the team devised a strategy to continue publishing and distributing material through the ongoing pandemic. In an effort to combat scientific misinformation, Emily also managed a platform to simplify scientific publications via social media, publish educational blogs, and enable students with health conditions to educate the public about their experiences. Alongside her research at the Zuckerman Institute and CUIMC, these opportunities provided her with a deep appreciation for a wide range of scientific disciplines and human experiences. Overall, Emily feels endlessly grateful for all the incredible people she has met along the way!
Thank you to my friends, family, mentors, and companions who have been a constant source of support and guidance throughout the years. Being a part of such an amazing community makes me feel incredibly lucky, and I am so excited to see what the future holds for all of us!
