Madeline is being recognized for strengthening our startup and entrepreneurial ecosystem, bringing top venture capital firms to Columbia founders and fostering cross-university (Columbia/Yale/Penn/etc) and cross-school (SEAS/CC/MBA/PhD/etc) partnerships. As a Venture Fellow at Pear VC, Madeline has engaged with over 50 Columbia-affiliated founders, providing them with opportunities for funding and mentorship. She also brought Impact First Ventures to Columbia where her team sourced and profiled impact-oriented startups. Madeline served on the board of Columbia Organization of Rising Entrepreneurs, spearheading the CORE alumni reunion and Almaworks Accelerator Summit. Madeline is also a founder herself, building Ours, a social logistics platform for Gen Z which placed 2nd at Columbia Venture Competition. She is also working on a Web3 fintech startup as part of Apoorv Agarwal’s “Building a Successful Startup Class.” Finally, Madeline led Building Blocks Social Entrepreneurship Workshop with Columbia Global Centers in Amman and Istanbul.
