Tamarah Wallace is studying political science and human rights. She was the Publisher and Vice President of the Columbia Daily Spectator where she focused on foregrounding DEI initiatives. She has been a student executive board and board of directors member for Community Impact, which provides educational services to Harlem residents, for 4 years. She is also the Vice President of Shaping Her Earth (SHE) Columbia, a mentorship program for young WOC in Harlem and is teaching assistant for philosophy classes in Metropolitan Detention Center Brooklyn with Just Ideas. She has conducted research with the Social Intervention Group at the School of Social Work on interventions ranging from STI rates of formerly incarcerated Black women to the NYS opioid crisis. She was also part of the winning NBC College Bowl team for Columbia. Off-campus, she has worked with organizations such as UNICEF, the New York City Council, and Girls Who Invest.
