Blessing Utomi is a Senior from Houston, TX studying Theater and Education. At Columbia Blessing has pursued a variety of interests and campus involvements. As an actor and ballet dancer, he holds a deep passion and commitment to the arts. He has performed in multiple productions with the Drama Department, where he completed his Senior Performance Thesis in Acting last fall. His dedication to education and youth development allowed him to participate in multiple teaching fellowship and tutoring roles. Although he teaches mostly secondary students, for the past four years Blessing has interned with Undergraduate Admissions as part of the Leadership Team running the Recruitment Committees to plan campus tours, information sessions, specialty panels, college access sessions and other outreach introducing prospective students and their families to Columbia. Outside of work and class you can catch Blessing running in Central Park and exploring new dumpling shops with friends across NYC.
