Principled Action
Jonathan Tanaka is a junior in Columbia College studying, conducting research, and leading research teams in philosophy and pure mathematics, with particular interests in analytic metaphysics, metamathematics, mathematical logic, set theory, model theory, and metaepistemology. He is the founder and executive director of Logic Made Accessible Inc, an internationally renowned educational non-profit that develops free curricula in logic and teaches it to students of various ages and backgrounds all around the world. He is the editor-in-chief of Gadfly, Columbia's undergraduate philosophy publication, which this past year successfully introduced a new international high school essay competition, a new team of staff writers, and a new experimental print issue. This past year he has directed and co-organized international pre-college philosophy conferences with speakers including top faculty from Columbia, NYU, and UNC. Some of his other projects include the Veritas Forum, Christian Union Lumine, The Iliad Forum, and The John Jay Society.
