Award Recognition

Inclusion and Advocacy
Senior Marshal
Benjamin Sango, during his time at Columbia has been actively involved in international student life and advocacy. Following his participation in ISOP 2018, he became the student coordinator of the program in 2019. He devoted himself to serving the international student community and ensuring a smooth transition to a new cultural and academic setting, working closely with the Office of Multicultural Affairs. He took on the role as student coordinator for the first ever virtual ISOP in 2020. He has continuously advocated for the importance of ISOP and the critical role it plays in the lives of international undergraduates. Throughout all his 4 years, Benjamin has been an active member of the Global Recruitment Committee— being the co-president this academic year. He has also worked as an International Engagement Intern with Undergraduate Admissions in the previous and current academic year, organizing programs and events for prospective and admitted international students.
It is a great honor to be recognized with these awards. I would like to thank my ISOP and GRC family who have been integral parts of my time at Columbia. A big thanks to all the staff at Multicultural Affairs and Undergraduate Admissions I have worked closely with throughout my time at Columbia.
