Alexander Ku has demonstrated civic responsibility in his research, leadership, and academia. In working in the Economic Complexity Lab, he utilizes his modeling and analytical skills he learned in IEOR and applied it to assess the effectiveness of different countries’ economic and production development paths which are beneficial towards the global network in analyzing what the countries should focus on. He was a treasurer for Columbia Law and Business Association in which he was integral towards providing mentorship and education lessons to the other members and fulfilling his responsibilities as a leader in these organizations. By serving as a CA in both data analysis, statistics, and project management classes in the IEOR department, he has helped in conducting office hours and assisting the professors in any way possible.
