Eli J. Horgan is a graduating senior in Columbia College studying History and Political Science. On campus, he is a member of the Native American Council and a Chair of the Columbia Mentoring Initiative's Indigenous Family Tree. At home in Miami, he cherishes spending time with his family and his greater community at Shake-A-Leg. Columbia has afforded Eli a strong opportunity to explore both his identity and his love of learning with his friends and professors. He is exceptionally grateful and proud of his time at Columbia and looks with great hope and ambition towards the future.
I'd like to thank my family, friends, and the Columbia community for their constant support. Thanks to the Columbia Indigenous community who has grounded me in my exploration of identity. I'd like to especially thank my family and dear friends for their unwavering love and motivation. I've grown a great deal at Columbia and I appreciate their patience, guidance, and inspiration that have buttressed my confidence in my character and ambition.
