Amanda Zong is being recognized for her dedication to the school of engineering, particularly through her involvement with the Women in Computer Science club. As a community chair, she has worked to organize engaging virtual events, particularly to ensure that first year students felt connected with peers and potential classmates and provide resources for fellow CS majors to navigate internships, connect with professors and more. The computer science community, particularly for women, has become a more welcoming space in part because of Amanda's commitment and dedication. Amanda is also the recipient of the Thomas "Pop" Harrington Medal.
