Juliette Larmuseau is being recognized for her pivotal role building the Columbia chapter of Athlete Ally, a nonprofit advocacy group that focuses on making athletic communities more inclusive and less discriminatory, with a focus on LGBTQ inclusion. Juliette has managed the social media and outreach efforts for the group since March 2020, maintaining consistent communication and active approaches to grow the Athlete Ally community. In the summer, she was particularly active in raising the voices of queer people of color, dedicating much of the group's focus on promoting social and racial justice within the athletic community. Juliette is also a committed member of the Columbia Women's Rowing team and, as a walk-on athlete with no prior experience in the sport, has helped shape the team into what it is today.
