Health and Wellness
Senior Marshal
Jessica has demonstrated her commitment to the health and wellness of the Columbia community throughout her time in undergrad. She gave up her nights since her first year to take calls as a volunteer for Nightline, and became director by her Junior year. As campus life was disrupted this year, she devoted countless hours to ensuring the service was up and running remotely. Additionally, she has served on the Student Governing Board as a representative, treasurer and vice chair, and currently sits as chair. She uses her platform to advocate for clubs that aim to create identity based communities on campus, ensuring everyone at Columbia can find a place that speaks to them. Jessica has repeatedly demonstrated her immense commitment to the mental health and wellbeing of the Columbia community, insisting that even during these times of hardship and isolation no one needs to feel alone.
I would like to thank every single student who volunteers their time as a listener for Nightline, as well as all the amazing leaders of the student groups who build communities on campus under the SGB.
