Innovation and Enhancement
Kaleigh McGrady is being recognized for Innovation and Enhancement for starting the Columbia Sports Entertainment and Media club which introduces new career fields to the community. As a student athlete, Kaleigh is familiar with the usual networking at Columbia but saw a gap when it came to sports marketing. She created the club to build a whole new community and platform for student engagement on campus as well as promote gender equality in a field. She approaches every problem with a bright spirit, bettering Columbia's professional development field.
Hi, I'm Kaleigh McGrady and I'm so honored to be receiving the Innovation and Enhancement Award from the Leadership and Excellence Committee at Columbia. It is because of my passion for making people aware of jobs in the sports industry that I'm standing here today. I would like to give a special thank you to my co-founders, Lindsay Rispoli and Kasey Karkoska, who not only are my co-founders but are my best friends and teammates. I would also like to thank our amazing board members for helping us build CSEM from the ground up. Josh, Isabel, Ben, Gia, Bridgette, and Ellie, thank you so much. I'm so glad to be standing here and bring all these industries to light at Columbia. Thank you.
