Maria Chart is recognized for her passion and perseverance on the fencing strip and beyond. As a Division I fencer and senior captain, Maria has competed on the international stage, representing both Columbia Fencing and the Great Britain Senior World Team. As a SEAS student, Maria is dedicated to sustainability and engineering efforts to combat the climate crisis. She has served for over two years as a leader on the Living Green Committee of EcoReps, as well as on the board of the Engineers Without Borders Uganda Program. Maria embodies what it means to be a SEAS scholar-athlete through her leadership and work ethic in every endeavor she undertakes.
