A Sophomore Columbia College student-athlete, Justine Decker is socially active in pushing to expand the opportunity for youth student-athletes in the greater NYC area. Justine's principle action is evident in her work with the Harlem Lacrosse Foundation where she actively recruits special education students and those identified by school administrators as most vulnerable to academic decline and school dropout. Justine has worked with Harlem Lacrosse to provide one on one mentorship programming, academic tutoring, and practice/game opportunities for young students from high schools in Harlem, NY. Justine has also been working tirelessly to advocate for additional grant funding and has played a key role in recruiting her fellow collegiate peers as tutors to help the program expand throughout this pandemic.
