Elizabeth is a first-generation, low-income student from Lynwood, CA. Her work has focused on mentoring other FLI college students on the pre-medical track through the Questbridge-FLI Network Mentoring Program at Columbia and as an undergraduate TA for Introductory Biology. She has also worked as a teaching assistant for K-5 students in NYC public schools in an effort to make education more accessible. Following graduation, Elizabeth plans to pursue a graduate education in the biological sciences.
