Diana is Costa-Rican born and Cuban raised, a child of musicians and immigrants who came to this country seeking refuge and liberty. After graduation she plans to continue her studies in Columbia's MA program in Human Rights, and eventually pursue a career in justice, sustainability, and reformation. She owes everything to Mami, Papi, Davisito, Yaya (missed forever), Benny, Titi, Abuela, her loving family in Cuba and North Carolina, her wonderful teachers (far too many to list), her lifelong high school friends (my everything)—each always believing in the beauty of her dreams and her soul when she could not yet see.
