This show highlights the work of guitarist Pat Martino both before and after emergency neurosurgery in 1980. Most of his left temporal lobe was removed due to the impending rupture of a congenital arteriovenous cerebral malformation. After the procedure, he presented with severe retrograde amnesia. However, he managed to rediscovered his unparalleled musical talent and continues to play and record today (some, including Eric Alexander, even prefer his sound, today). Pat Martino is present on each of these tunes.
