Today's program featured an exclusive interview with Canadian soprano/conductor Barbara Hannigan, who sings the part of Agnes in the Mostly Mozart presentation of George Benjamin's Written On Skin. The opera has three performances at the David H. Koch Theater on August 11th, 13th, and 15th.
On this program, I chose to compare composers from America, Britain, and the Soviet Union who were composing during the Cold War Era, mainly the 40's, 50's and 60's.
