Wagnerian Night starting with Tannhauser. To contrast the demands of the Wagnerian soprano, Ortrud's Curse from Lohengrin was played alongside Isolde's Liebestod. To celebrate the 70th anniversary of the world premiere of Richard Strauss's Capriccio, the program included the opera's finale.

An exploration of 19th Century Russian artistic identity. Looking at the creations of Borodin and Pushkin, we examined questions of foreignness, Russianness, exoticism, and nationalistic hostility, all the while comparing the composer's opera, Prince Igor, to the author's extended poem, "The Captive of the Caucasus."
