Sarah was born in New York City but grew up in Raleigh, North Carolina. She received her B.A. in sociology from Elon University and her M.A. and Ed.M. in higher and postsecondary education from Columbia University's Teachers College. Sarah loves to travel and spent time studying in Dublin, Ireland and India while in college, and also taught English in Thailand after college. In her free time, Sarah enjoys exploring New York's outer boroughs by bike, as well as reading, running, yoga, and all kinds of cultural events around the city.
