This program is designed to train volunteers to assist survivors in crisis in the Columbia Presbyterian Emergency Room. Volunteers on call will respond as an advocate to any domestic violence emergency that comes into the Emergency Department.
Requirements: Volunteers are required to complete 40 hours of training. They must also be 18 years or older and live within 40 minutes of the hospital.
Volunteer Commitment: In addition to completing the training, volunteers must be on-call 1-2 shifts per month for a period of one year.
