Summer Research Program sponsored by the Office of Minority Affairs at SUNY Downstate Medical Center
The program is designed for undergraduate students who have historically been underrepresented in the biomedical and health related professions. The program is open to qualified students who have completed their sophomore or junior year of college. Students who have completed their bachelor’s degree are not eligible.
The program provides eight weeks of experience in biomedical research and fellowships in the amount of $3,000. Housing will not be provided for this program. The initial application is due March 1 and all supporting documents (i.e. official transcript and recommendation letter) are due March 15.
