Travel to Campus

Directions

Columbia University's Morningside Campus is located in the Morningside Heights neighborhood on the west side of Manhattan. Campus is easily accessible via car, train, or plane. View our directions to campus.

Additionally, five bus lines (M4, M5, M11, M60, M104) and one subway line (#1 local) serve the Columbia neighborhood. The Columbia stop for public transportation is 116th Street. The M60 bus offers a direct link between campus and LaGuardia Airport. Bus and subway routes are available on the Metropolitan Transportation Authority website.

For Class Day and Commencement, drivers are advised to drop off and pick up passengers near the intersections of either 114th Street and Broadway or 114th Street and Amsterdam Ave. The Commencement website contains additional, detailed information about access to campus and anticipated street closures in the area.

Campus Maps

Guests with disabilities may also find the campus accessibility map helpful.

The main entrance to the Morningside Heights campus is on 116th Street and Broadway; however, entrances to campus on Commencement day will be limited for both graduates and their guests.

Please visit the Commencement website to review maps of campus entrances that will be open on Commencement morning.

Parking

We recommend guests utilize New York City's excellent public transportation system as much as possible.

Please note, Columbia does not offer on-campus parking. For visitors who plan to drive to campus, the University Commencement' website lists several conveniently located private parking garages near Columbia's campus in Morningside Heights.

Because of the number of visitors Columbia will welcome for Class Day and Commencement, please allow extra time to find a parking space.
