2016 Brainard, Rolker, and Alumni Prizes

To vote, enter your UNI and password after clicking "login."

Each year, the graduating class of Columbia College selects the recipients of the Alumni, Brainard, and Rolker prizes. In December, members of the Columbia community were invited to nominate students for these awards. Many outstanding students were represented in these nominations, and three finalists were chosen for each award.

You are now invited to cast your vote for the recipient of each award. The prizes will be given at the Class Day celebration on Tuesday, May 17, 2016. In making your selection, please review the nomination summary and select the student who you feel best exemplifies the ideals of the corresponding prize. Votes will be kept confidential.

Instructions: Indicate your choices for the recipients of the Alumni, Brainard, and Rolker Prizes and click "Vote" at the bottom of the page. You may only vote once for each award, and the voting period will conclude on Monday, March 28, at 9:00 a.m. EDT.

Thank you for taking part in this exciting process. If you have any questions, please email the Leadership Awards Committee.

Frequently Asked Questions

JADE FAQ

What does a day in the JADE program entail?

In the morning, students receive instruction based on a web development curriculum for beginners. During the day, students will be visiting offices and meeting founders and other employees who will speak to them about the startup world. In the evening, after dinner and discussion, students will be taken on excursions in different parts of the city.

What is the program fee?

The program fee is $100.00 per student and covers food, transportation, and night activities during the week. Our application process is completely need-blind.  We are able to offer financial aid support to students with a demonstated need.

Who can apply to participate in JADE?

All current first-year undergraduate students in BC, CC, and SEAS are eligible to apply for the program.  All majors are encouraged to apply, as we want to focus on students who have had minimal exposure to the startup and tech ecosystem of New York!
