Dining

Explore healthy and affordable student dining options, both on campus and in the surrounding neighborhood.

Campus Dining

Columbia Dining is committed to one thing: good food! Students have access to multiple dining locations on campus, as well as options of dining plans, dining dollars and a flex account. Columbia Dining also recognizes students have busy schedules, and provides multiple resources to help Columbians plan healthy meals that work for their schedules. Please encourage your student to reach out to our dining plan manager with questions and concerns regarding nutrition and dietary needs.

Nutrition

Columbia Dining also has a registered dietitian, Alexa Gandara, on staff to address individual questions and concerns related to food allergies, intolerances, and dietary preferences. You can contact Alexa via email at ag4314@columbia.edu or by phone at 212-854-3353 with questions, to schedule a consultation, or to discuss personal meal planning. For more information, visit the Columbia Dining website.

Allergies and Special Diets

Menus across all dining locations are labeled to identify major allergens and ingredients so students can quickly determine whether a food item is safe for them. The culinary team is trained in food allergy handling and managers are certified by AllerTrain. Dining also is FARE (Food Allergy Research and Education) certified.

Neighborhood Eats

Beyond independent access to the culinary riches of New York, there are various restaurants and grocery stores in the Morningside Heights neighborhood that accept Flex Dollars and are known as Flex locations.
