Arrival Information for Class of 2025 Families

We are so excited to welcome the Class of 2025 and you, their families, to campus! Below please find step-by-step guidance for a safe and memorable move-in experience. We strongly encourage you to review these steps with your student and to talk about your move-in plan as a family.

Preparing for move-in

✅ Talk with your student about their New Student Checklist. Is everything all set?

✅ If you haven’t already, register for move-in. You’ll be asked to complete an online attestation 24 hours prior to your arrival. PLEASE NOTE:
  • If you have received confirmation and reminder emails, your registration is confirmed!
  • If your student is arriving prior to August 29, we ask that you print and bring your completed attestation form. Columbia staff will ask to see your attestation before granting you access to the residence hall.
✅ Check your inbox for an email with a link to the to the online attestation form. The day before your campus arrival, complete the form to affirm that you have not experienced symptoms of or tested positive for Covid-19, and that regardless of citizenship, you have fully complied with the vaccination, travel testing and quarantine policies of the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) for international travel.

✅ Encourage your student to download and run the ReopenCU App before arriving on campus. This will help ensure timely access to their residence hall. They will also use this app to submit required daily health attestations.

✅ Make sure you know your student’s residence hall and check-in location.

✅ Pack your face mask! Masks will be required the entire time you are on campus.

✅ If you’ll visit any restaurants, be prepared with a copy of your vaccination card and a photo ID. NYC currently requires proof of vaccination status to dine indoors at restaurants.

✅ Check out our Family Orientation webinars.
