|We are so excited to welcome the Class of 2025 and you, their families, to campus! Below please find step-by-step guidance for a safe and memorable move-in experience. We strongly encourage you to review these steps with your student and to talk about your move-in plan as a family.|
Preparing for move-in✅ Talk with your student about their New Student Checklist. Is everything all set?
✅ If you haven’t already, register for move-in. You’ll be asked to complete an online attestation 24 hours prior to your arrival. PLEASE NOTE:
✅ Encourage your student to download and run the ReopenCU App before arriving on campus. This will help ensure timely access to their residence hall. They will also use this app to submit required daily health attestations.
✅ Make sure you know your student’s residence hall and check-in location.
✅ Pack your face mask! Masks will be required the entire time you are on campus.
✅ If you’ll visit any restaurants, be prepared with a copy of your vaccination card and a photo ID. NYC currently requires proof of vaccination status to dine indoors at restaurants.
✅ Check out our Family Orientation webinars.
✅ Review directions & parking information and navigate to your check-in location. Staff will ask for your student’s UNI to locate your registration and attestation.
✅ Wear your face mask the entire time you are on campus.
✅ Visit Student and Family Support under the tent on Furnald Lawn to pick up your welcome gift. We’ll be there to answer your questions!
✅ Columbia Dining will provide Grab and Go food to first-year students and families.

An additional limited tour of northern Central Park will leave from Furnald Lawn at 10:30 a.m. sharp. Space is limited and available on a first come, first served basis.
