Situational awareness is a critical skill that each of us can enhance. Regardless of your respective neighborhoods, communities, or travels, situational awareness helps us to more easily identify threats, potential or real, to our safety. This workshop will discuss the evolutionary underpinnings of our Fight or Flight response while engaging participants to consider their level of preparedness. Strategies and techniques will be discussed to better position you to move through the world more safely, even in new environments. Join members of Columbia University’s Public Safety Training and Development team to learn more about this crucial life-skill.
