Columbia Communities In Action (CCIA) Internships

Columbia Communities in Action (CCIA) provides students with a paid 10-week civic engagement-focused internship and training that will help students maximize their experience and learn how to promote it professionally.

The program is designed to help students in two primary ways:

  • build, develop, and strengthen professional skills in a hands-on internship
  • explore and reflect on civic engagement

Using the concepts of the 5 Pathways to Service as a guide, students will critically reflect on the work their organizations do and how they may continue to serve their communities, whether with a career at a non-profit, or as someone who contributes in a myrid of others ways.

CCIA is co-sponsored by the Center for Career Education and Student Engagement. The program is open to all full-time undergraduate students in Columbia College, Columbia Engineering, and General Studies. All majors are encouraged to apply.
