The third annual Public Interest Career Fair will be on Thursday, February 19 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. in Earl Hall Auditorium. There will be a wide variety of organizations represented, including those in the fields of education, health, environment, and housing and poverty. Likewise, there will be a wide variety of positions: entry-level,  internships, and permanent paid positions.

All Columbia and Barnard current and prospective mathematics majors, joint majors, and concentrators are invited to meet faculty and other students who can answer questions about the Mathematics Department, the courses it offers and the major.  We will outline the major for prospective students, discuss the various joint majors which are currently offered or are in the planning stages, and talk about more advanced courses and graduate schools with the junior and senior majors.

SPEAKmusic is a recently formed collective of musicians and composers from Columbia and Juilliard who are dedicated to education, outreach, and opening new vistas of classical music and jazz to audiences of all ages and backgrounds. Our approach is transdisciplinary in spirit and global in outlook; our concerts and projects involve collaborations with filmmakers, visual artists, scientists, and poets among others, both here and abroad.
