Beijing Summer Program
: This nine-week program immerses students in one of the world's most dynamic cities and offers five levels of intensive Chinese language studies from beginner through fifth year. Students complete the equivalent of one year of Chinese at Columbia. Group excursions in and around Beijing, lectures by local experts, and a week-long travel break give students insight into Chinese society and lifestyle.

Students scheduled to take University Writing in the spring 2015 semester must register for the course through SSOL. There are theme-based options from which to choose, as well as 36 sections of the standard University Writing course.
