World Leaders Forum: Pre-event Workshops TODAY (9/19)

At the recommendation of President Bollinger, the UCGT is pleased to add a teaching component to the World Leaders Forum available exclusively to undergraduate students. As part of this special initiative, the UCGT is hosting two pre-event workshops with faculty experts TODAY Friday, September 19th.

From 12-1 pm, Professor Gerald L. Curtis, a world-leading authority on Japanese politics, will be running a workshop in preparation for the World Leaders Forum with His Excellency Shinzo Abe, Prime Minister of Japan. REGISTER HERE for the Japan Workshop

From 1-2 pm, Professor Taoufik Ben-Amor, the Gordon Gray Jr Senior Lecturer in Arabic Studies and an expert on Tunisia and the Arab Spring, will host the workshop in preparation for the World Leaders Forum with His Excellency Dr. Mohamed Moncef Marzouki, President of the Republic of Tunisia. REGISTER HERE for the Tunisia Workshop

Please note that participating students need not register separately for the main World Leaders Forum events. Attendance at these workshops will guarantee a spot at the corresponding World Leaders Forum and participants will also enjoy priority seating during the main event. Registration is only open to Columbia University undergraduate students on a first-come, first-served basis.

The World Leaders Forum is a remarkable opportunity to hear first-hand from distinguished leaders active on the global stage. We strongly believe that the addition of these workshops will enable undergraduates to take advantage of the breadth of knowledge at our institution and benefit further from these unique events.
