We need Language Tutors!

We need Language Tutors!

To meet the needs of Columbia's graduate students and professional school students, the Language Resource Center offers conversation groups and individual tutorials with instruction focused on everyday spoken language. The tutorials are designed to provide students with some language proficiency with the opportunity to maintain and advance their language skills. The tutorials will take place for 10 weeks beginning in early February. You can find more information about the tutorials on our website:

We are looking for tutors in all languages and specific dialects. It is a paid position: Tutors will be paid $500 for an Individual tutorial and $700 for a group tutorial (around April in the Spring Semester or November in the Fall Semester). We have a variable number of students every semester. As soon as a position opens up, we will contact one of our registered tutors. We can only hire full time Columbia Students, and preference is given to students with language teaching experience at Columbia, but even if this is your first year teaching, there is a good chance to get a tutoring position.
