SOLAR IMPULSE - Only on Columbia's Campus, This week! (4/19)

You may have read about Solar Impulse, a project to fly an airplane around the world on solar power alone.

If you have not, go to the link below:

Already the team has achieved continuous flight for 26 hours (yes, through the night!), and is now embarking on a cross-USA tour starting in California. We have invited the founders and engineers to present their work in The Art of Engineering on Friday, April 19 at noon in Altschul Auditorium (417 International Affairs Building). The Solar Impulse team will be presenting from their facility in California via the internet, broadcasting the event live worldwide on their website, and answering questions only from the Columbia audience. This presentation is part of the SEAS course ENGIE1102 The Art of Engineering, but we're opening it to all students (CC & SEAS).

Seating is limited, you must register (free!) if you wish to attend; the form is here:

This is an amazing opportunity to be up close with this team and to learn about their achievements thus far, and what is projected going forward.

Don’t miss out!
