Don’t know whether you can go abroad, let alone how the process works?  Come to OverSEAS, a SEAS-focused study abroad info session to get your questions answered!  Hear from other SEAS students who have successfully studied abroad and learn about various international opportunities available to you as a SEAS student. Get an overview of Columbia’s clearance process for engineers going abroad, and hear students’ experiences and tips about maneuvering the system.  Bring your questions, bring your friends, and most importantly bring your travel bug!

Italian Cultural Studies in Venice
Come spend part of the summer in Venice! Complete one year of Italian (elementary or intermediate) and take one additional course in the artistic or literary culture of Venice or study art history in English.  You will earn Columbia credit and have the opportunity to study in one of the most beautiful and historic cities in Europe.

Reid Hall Paris Information Session
Study in your major in Paris! If you have the equivalent of at least 2 years of college-level French (through Intermediate II), you can probably spend at least a semester in Paris doing work that will count for major/concentration and/or college requirements. Come find out how at the Reid Hall Info Session. Returned students will be there to share their experience of living in the City of Lights.

Learn the German perspective on these and other topics by studying in Berlin for a year or semester. The Berlin Consortium for German Studies can accommodate the academic interests of almost any student, so long as you have the German skills (equivalent of Intermediate II).

From HIV research in Kenya to  an investigation of Chile’s education system to questions of biculturalism in France, Columbia study abroad and fellowships student undertake a wide variety of interesting research projects abroad. Come to the OGP Research Symposium to hear from your fellow students about the research they have done, and learn more about the quality research you could do while studying abroad our with a 1939 research fellowship!
