What does interning through this program offer me that I can’t get elsewhere?
Program benefits include becoming part of a community dedicated to your professional and personal development. You’ll take part in pre-program training, post-program reflections, and have access to a host of resources in between. You’ll cultivate relationships and skills that you can carry with you to your next opportunity.  Additionally, internships include stipends.

You make a good case. How do I apply?
The deadline for all applications Sunday, October 27th.

Application materials must be submitted through LionSHARE, and include a program application form, resume, cover letter, and transcript. You can apply to up to 3 internships per program. All current undergraduates at Columbia College, General Studies, and from the School for Engineering and Applied Sciences are eligible to apply.  Graduate students are eligible to apply to VIP and CAE.  For more details, visit us online and attend an information session.

Applications are now available for the 2014 Kenneth Cole Community Engagement Program!

This exciting initiative serves to inspire and empower the next generation of community leaders, introducing a talented, dedicated and diverse group of Columbia undergraduates to the challenges and opportunities for community building in contemporary urban America. The program culminates in a summer living-learning experience, where fellows undertake paid internships at community organizations and live together in a University residence hall provided for by the program. The deadline for applications is Sunday, October 20, 2013 at 11:59pm. The program is open to sophomores and juniors in CC and SEAS.

More information about the program will be available at two information sessions to be held on Monday, October 7 from 6-7pm in Lerner 401 and Friday, October 11 from 1-2pm in Lerner 403H/I. Prospective applicants are strongly encouraged to attend one of these sessions. Visit the program website for more details.
