Applications Due for Spring Sustainable Development TA Positions (11/3)

The Undergraduate Program in Sustainable Development is currently accepting applications for Spring 2014 Teaching Assistant positions.

Please note: Applicants must be current full-time CU students enrolled in a degree granting program. Applications will only be accepted by graduate students and undergraduate juniors or seniors.

This exciting initiative serves to inspire and empower the next generation of community leaders, introducing a talented, dedicated and diverse group of Columbia undergraduates to the challenges and opportunities for community building in contemporary urban America. The program culminates in a summer living-learning experience, where fellows undertake paid internships at community organizations and live together in a University residence hall provided for by the program. Study Abroad: Berlin Consortium for German Studies (BCGS) Information Session (10/24)

Studying abroad at the Berlin Consortium for German Studies (BCGS) offers an incredible opportunity to master German language skills by engaging in intensive academic coursework while integrating into German culture. Students enroll at the Freie Universität Berlin, which hosts a variety of departments including Biology, Economics, Political Science and more.  Berlin’s vibrant nightlife, art scene and fascinating history create an exciting environment to experience life in the new Europe.  The equivalent of at least two years of college- level German is required to apply to the program.


An information session for Columbia University undergraduate students is scheduled about the SEAS  “MS Express” application process, a simplified application to MS programs for seniors with a 3.500 or better GPA.

Please attend this session to learn more about this simplified application process. Representatives from the departments will be on hand during the Q & A session to address any questions students may have about MS programs in specific  departments.

REMINDER: You will be able to declare your majors starting tomorrow!   The online system is scheduled to go live on Tuesday, Oct. 15th and close on Oct. 18th.   You will receive instructions on Tuesday morning via e-mail.  So keep an eye out for the message.   It should only take you a minute or two to declare your major using this online process.
