Health Services: Part 2 of AlcoholEdu

Hello First-Year Student,

You’ve almost completed AlcoholEdu. As explained when you began the course, AlcoholEdu has two parts. You’ve already finished Part 1 before arriving here, which ended with the Exam. You are now ready to complete Part 2, which is much shorter than Part 1. You can expect this last part of AlcoholEdu to take only about 15 minutes.

Chemical Engineering Open House/Lunch (9/26)

On Wednesday, September 26th, the Chemical Engineering Department will be hosting a lunch to welcome juniors into our program.  Interested First Years and Sophomores are encouraged to attend! 

This event is sponsored by the Columbia Engineering School Alumni Association (CESAA).  There will be a brief presentation outlining aspects of the program including research opportunities for undergraduates.   There will also be presentations by the Center for Student Advising advisors and the Center for Career Education counselors.

CSA iPad Drawing Winner Announced

Wednesday, September 12, 2012 - The Center for Student Advising is pleased to announce that Patrick Lawlor, Columbia College ’13, is the winner of a new Apple iPad. Patrick’s name was drawn from a pool of students automatically entered into the contest after participating in the CSA 2011-12 student survey.  Last year, 40% of the student body participated in the survey.

Support for the first year class

CPS is pleased to offer a support group to incoming first years in CC and SEAS.  As exciting as the transition to college is, it is not without its stresses; this group will afford first years an opportunity to share their experiences and learn from one another how best to take full advantage of the academic and social opportunities-- and how best to meet the new challenges-- of life on this most dynamic of urban campuses, while perhaps making a few new friends along the way.
