Important Dates for Spring 2012 Application Process:

  • Wednesday, 2/1 - application active
  • Monday, 2/13 at 5:30pm - information session at Uris 331
  • Monday, 3/5 by 9:00am - application deadline
  • Friday, 3/30 - decisions sent
  • Thursday, 4/5 by 9:00am - deadline for pre-registering for business classes

**Note – this Fall 2012 State Dept internship may be a good gap year alternative for seniors going to grad school in 2013.  


The U.S. Department of State is now accepting applications for it's Fall 2012 Student Internship Program.

IRB Information Sessions (2/10, 2/15 & 2/21)

These information sessions are designed for Columbia College and School of General Studies students to learn about the requirements for submitting an approval request to the Institutional Review Board and is required for all CC students who will be conducting research with human subjects.

Upcoming information sessions:

  • Tuesday, February 21 - 5:30-6:30 pm

Academic Opportunity for CC Sophomores: Mellon-Mays Undergraduate Fellowship

This program provides research training, faculty mentorship and financial support for Columbia College (Sophomores) underrepresented minority students and other College students with a demonstrated commitment to racial diversity who wish to pursue a Ph.D. and whose intellectual and social commitments embody those of the late Dr. Benjamin Mays.

Google is invested in increasing the pipeline of future computer scientists and software developers, particularly those who are historically underrepresented in the field.
