Each summer, Columbia University School of the Arts welcomes students of all ages and levels of artistic experience to Columbia’s campus in New York City and to Columbia's Global Centers around the world.

Visit the Summer Programs website – and take a look at the latest information about courses and instructors. The site is continually updated as courses and instructors are confirmed.

Our summer courses in Film, Theatre, Visual Arts, and Writing are created and taught by School of the Arts graduate faculty, as well as by guest artists who are leaders in their fields.

Admission to summer programs at the School of the Arts is open to all who want to study with us. The application is fast and easy and neither a transcript nor a Bachelor's degree is required (except for the Advanced Painting Intensive – visit the course page for details). The application is now live and registrations are open. If you have other questions about the courses on our website, please write to summersessions@columbia.edu.
